Ideal for a client with hair thinning. Toppers and T-Partings come in a range of shapes and colours, taped or clipped depending on the degree of thinning and the client's lifestyle. You will learn purchasing, fitting, pricing and styling for every piece.
Secret Spots and Frontal Frames
Ideal for frontal alopecia, which is often caused by autoimmune disease. Secret spots, crowns and frontal frames come in different shapes, and you will learn to mould and customise pieces to cover larger areas, then cut and style them. HSE and NHS funding is available for these fittings.
Gent's Top Extensions and New Me
More men are presenting with hair loss every year, and a gents' service is a must. Pieces are glued or taped depending on lifestyle, moulded and cut to fit perfectly using grade A medical tapes. Glue on pieces last four to six weeks, and clients can swim and train as normal.
Your clients can access up to €770 a year
There are two routes to funding, and a trained salon can guide clients through both. Under the PRSI Treatment Benefit Scheme, eligible clients receive up to €500 a year toward a hair replacement item. Clients can also claim the HSE wig allowance, worth up to €770 a year.
For cancer related hair loss there is no medical card requirement, only a letter from the treating doctor. For alopecia and other qualifying conditions the client claims through their medical card.

Meet your teacher
Aileen Maher is Ireland's most recognised specialist in hair loss, scalp health and wig services. She ran her own salon for 25 years, holds her Teacher, Assessor and IQA awards, and is a Teacher and Educator for Xpert Professional IRE.
Since 2019 she has trained more than 400 Irish salons to run successful scalp clinics, covering every type of hair loss and scalp condition in both men and women, the fitting of all wigs and hairpieces, and how to care for a client through what is often the hardest thing they have been through.
Her training is HABIA CPD endorsed, which means your salon is recognised against the government backed National Occupational Standards. And once you have trained, Aileen is still at the end of the phone.
